Assembly Technician
The role includes the following main tasks:
- To undertake handover at the beginning of each shift
- To maintain machines
- To perform machine changeovers
- Undertake regular quality checks
- Effective repair of equipment, tooling, machines and peripherals
- To identify future preventative maintenance requirements
- To identify continuous improvement opportunities
- To undertake some mechanical repairs
- Optimisation of machines and equipment to achieve continuous improvement
- Support production to achieve 5 key data element targets
- General house keeping
- Monitoring and checking work that has been bonded (occasional)
- Informal training for new technicians
- Occasional operator duties
Knowledge and Qualifications
Experience of working with machinery in an engineering/manufacturing environment is essential.
Possess a good understanding of mechanical engineering.

- Able to read and understand drawings, measurements and weights
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Able to complete technical reports
