Raffle and jumpers make a great contribution to local charities
23rd March 2022

SONE employees raised £655 from a Christmas Raffle and a Christmas Jumper Day. The company matched this sum making a total of £1,310 that has been donated to local charities.

£1,000 was donated to If U Care Share (a charity close to the company) and £310 was donated to Great North Air Ambulance Service. Both charities were selected by SONE’s employees.

If U Care Share

If U Care Share provides a range of services that are fundamental to its three main aims of prevention, intervention and supporting those bereaved by suicide.

Rebecca Rowan, Fundraising and Events Officer said, ‘The pandemic has had a detrimental impact on people in the local community and fundraising at the moment is so important to be able to support people back into society post-pandemic.’

Great North Air Ambulance Service

The Great North Air Ambulance Service provides air ambulance services across the North-East, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. They are entirely funded from charitable donations.

Julie Jameson, Corporate Fundraising Officer said, ‘It is our goal to raise £6.7 million a year to ensure we can fly 365 days a year. Every penny helps towards that, and we are extremely grateful to be thought of by your employees.’

Raymond Oliver, SONE Products Chairman/CEO commented, ‘These charities are going through a really tough period after Covid and with the current cost of living crisis. Every penny they receive helps in some way and we are grateful that we could support these amazingly worthwhile causes.’
