In line with SONE's clear goal of providing high quality, TPD compliant e-liquid packaging, the company continues to grow its capacity, with significant investment in new IBM machinery, tooling and automatic assembly equipment.
Injection blow moulding
Delivery of a third Novapax IBM machine has greatly increased the business’s capacity to produce 10ml bottles and this, along with on-going investment in associated tooling, will allow SONE to grow in line with its valued e-liquid partners and customers.
Automatic cap assembling
In addition, SONE has recently taken delivery of a custom-designed machine which automatically assembles the component parts of its tamper evident, child-resistant caps. Developed to the company’s specification and manufactured in the UK, the assembly equipment provides production flexibility and is an important addition to the machine park.
‘David Clemes, Manufacturing Manager, said; ‘We are very pleased to have partnered with a UK-based company in the machine’s development and we're looking forward to further supporting our customers' growth.'
What's next for SONE?
To keep ahead of the increase in e-liquid pack demand, the company is expecting delivery of a fourth IBM machine in the next few weeks.
Raymond Oliver, SONE's CEO, said: 'The combination of four IBM machines, a range of assembly options and new mould tools will ensure that we have the capacity to meet the needs of our customers and support growth into new geographic markets.'
