At SONE we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and making sure we do whatever is possible in terms of making our business sustainable.

Our commitment to sustainability

We are now offering e-liquid bottles in PET with a 30% recycled component in compliance with PPT*.

We have a range of rPET materials which are high quality, certified recycled plastic that meet regulatory health and safety standards.

Solar Power

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have invested in renewable energy with the installation of 716 solar PV panels across our factory roofs. The system is anticipated to generate 379 kWp of power while helping to avoid an estimated 69,631 kg of CO2 emissions. Watch our video to see the solar panels in action.

Reducing waste across our supply chain

We ensure that good practices are promoted across our company to reduce waste and energy throughout the plant and supply chain.

In order to minimise waste, we ensure our purchasing decisions from the early stages of the design of our products are influenced by latest technologies and are reviewed for their fit into our work programmes.

Promoting good environmental practices

At SONE we wish to promote good environmental practices and will always look to support our customers’ aims by taking these issues seriously.

Our internal systems support recycling and sustainable management practices wherever it is practical to do so. We continue to upgrade our systems and manage our processes in an environmentally responsible manner.

Our commitment is mapped below:

  • Procurement Policy: We buy responsibly and search for ethical suppliers who manage their own carbon footprints.
  • Production Machinery: We invest in new machinery to ensure that our processes are energy efficient.
  • Waste Management: We have closed loop systems for recycling waste polymer material back into the production stream and all new moulds are purchased with hot-runner systems wherever possible to stop this waste being generated in the first place.
  • Manufacturing Processes: We are in the process of converting products from Extrusion Blow-moulding to Injection Blow-moulding to reduce the waste which is generated.
  • Waste Segregation: In other areas of our business, to assist with recycling we have waste segregation policies in place to separate out plastic, paper and other general materials.
  • Energy Usage: We monitor closely and invest into initiatives such as LED lighting with the aim of energy usage reduction.
  • Recycled plastic material: Our 10ml, 30ml, 60ml and 120ml plastic bottle ranges are available in PET with a 30% recycled component in compliance with PPT*
