Requirements for E-Liquid packaging

The government's recently published document, the 'Draft statutory Instrument: The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016* indicates four product requirements relating to E-liquid packaging:

  • A dedicated refill container not exceeding a fill volume of 10 millilitres
  • The product packaging must be child-resistant and tamper-evident
  • The product must be protected against breakage and leakage
  • The product must have a mechanism for ensuring refilling without leakage

SONE has developed its range of 10ml E-liquid packs in line with these requirements:

  • Child resistant certification to ISO8317, the standard for child resistant packaging
  • Manufactured to rigorous quality standards to be lightweight and shatter-resistant
  • Including a fine nozzle for controlled dispensing
  • Tamper evident features
