Continuing with its robust strategy for growth, North East based SONE Products Ltd (SONE) has recently announced a senior level appointment within its growing business development team.
SONE, which specialises in supplying innovative application and dispensing solutions in plastic, has appointed Tony Burnell, a well known figure in the plastics packaging industry, to the national role of business development manager.
Taking into consideration its focus on targeting new markets while continuing to build on existing customer relationships, SONE appointed Mr Burnell based on his extensive experience of the industry, sound reputation and ability to build strong relationships with customers in the personal care, healthcare and beauty sectors.
Speaking about this latest appointment and the company’s ability to attract high calibre individuals to its team, SONE’s Chairman and CEO, Raymond Oliver, said:
“I am delighted to announce that Tony has joined SONE at such an exciting time in the company’s development. He has a wealth of knowledge about the packaging industry and a proven track record of increasing sales, identifying new customers and gaining access to new markets, all of which complement the skills in our existing in-house team.
“His experience of working with internationally recognised brands and in overseas markets, such as Europe and the USA, sits well with our existing customer base and plans for growth and diversification. I am confident in his ability to make a positive contribution to the company’s further development and increase our market share, as we seek to become manufacturer of choice to an array of brand leaders.”
Mr Burnell added:'I am delighted to be joining SONE at a time when the company is setting its marker down for growth. Coming from a background of working with large organisations, I now have the exciting challenge of using that experience to take SONE to the next level of its development.
'SONE has a great heritage in the packaging industry. My main focus will be to build on that by introducing the company's capabilities in the design and manufacture of high quality application systems to a wider audience.'
