SONE Products has donated £1,000 to one of the North East’s most worthwhile causes.
The staff at SONE raised £602 from a raffle at their Christmas event and this, together with other fund raising initiatives, enabled them to donate £1,000 to Bradley Lowery’s Fight.
At the age of two, Bradley Lowery from Blackhall Colliery near Hartlepool was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a form of cancer. He battled for over two years and went into remission, having successfully beaten the illness. Then in 2016 Bradley relapsed. Specialist and progressive treatment for this kind of cancer is not readily available in this country and so his family has again started to raise funds for the very expensive medication required to treat Bradley’s condition.
Toni Hunter, a close friend of Bradley’s family and a volunteer with Bradley Lowery’s Fight came to the SONE Products manufacturing site in Stanley to receive the cheque from CEO Raymond Oliver.
Lynn Murphy, campaign manager with Bradley Lowery’s Fight, said: ‘We would like to thank all the staff at SONE for the donation to Bradley Lowery's Fight, we are eternally grateful for your support.’
Raymond Oliver, SONE’s CEO, said: ‘It’s with great pleasure that we make this donation. Bradley has been amazingly courageous and we strongly encourage others to support this fantastic cause.’
